Bernadette Poor Director

I was born here in Sacramento. My husband David and I have 2 beautiful daughters. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. I have been with Peace Lutheran since 1995 and would have it no other way. I became the assistant director at Peace Lutheran in February 2006. I then moved to Director the following year. I have learned so much here at peace from the families, children and staff. I love being part of something special. To watch children grow and learn and being part of that is amazing. Working close with families and connecting with the community is a good feeling. There is nothing better than going to work at a place you love. God has blessed us in so many ways and will continue to guide us on the right path. When I am not a work I am always thinking of ways to make Peace Lutheran a better place. My husband is always willing to lend a helping hand. On my spare time I like to be with my family travel, play sports, cook or even just sitting down to read.

Mary Arballo

4-5 year old teacher

I’m married with 4 children. I have 2 daughters and 2 sons. I have been with Peace Lutheran since August 2006. I use to be a bus driver for Folsom Cordova School District for 15 years. When I started out at peace I had no teaching experience but I jumped in with both feet ready to learn with encouragement from Peace Lutheran. With the time spent going to school and asking my Mentors questions I fell in love with teaching. I am now a teacher and love every minute of it. I love being around children and sharing Gods love. If I am not at the school I am with my teenage daughter or helping out at our church.

Jennifer Figueroa

Teachers Aide

I have 3 daughters and have been with Peace Lutheran since August 2011. I am learning so much and enjoy working with children. Right now I am an assistant but my long term goal is to become a teacher. My passion is to help, love and support children. I hope to learn from the children and families here at peace as I share my knowledge with them. I enjoy spending time with my family and helping others.

Ruth Kruithoff

3 year old teacher (preschool)

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor of Education degree. My husband Cary and my daughter Corey and I moved to Sacramento in 1991. I started teaching at Peace in August of that year. I also taught in Hawaii for four years. I LOVE working with young children and sharing Jesus love with them. When I am not working I enjoy serving at Peace Lutheran Ministries and going camping with my husband Cary and our dogs.

Ana Yantas

Afternoon Teacher

I have always wanted to and had a passion for working with children. I have had my husbands support as I went to school to become a preschool teacher. I love working with the children as each day is a new experience for me as I never know what the children are going to surprise with me on any given day. This is what gives me the satisifaction of being a teacher and watching each child grow and learn every day. I stirve to continue to educate myself as I know I can learn so much more. A few years ago when I visted Peace Lutehran for a class project I told myself one day I am going to work here. In April 2014 I was hired on as a teacher and couldn't be happier. I love getting messy and planning and doing activities with the kids and help them develope their creativity and to just have fun with the kids and teach them each day. I also speak spanish and love animals.

Tambrineka Brown

2 year old teacher

Ensuring the well being of children is a deep passion of mine as I am also a mother. I have over 5 years experience in childcare. More information to come at a later date. Tamberineka will start with our progarm Mid January. We are excited to have her come on board.
